Ellison L. Brem had been the Supervisor of the Flying Horses Carousel, a replica of a 19^th century hand-cranked carousel.  As a volunteer with the Long Island Fair, Old Bethpage Village Restoration and elsewhere on Long Island, he accumulated approximately 8,000 volunteer hours.
